MICRO-FINANCE PROGRAM (view diagram)
This program, called "Share the Love" allows women to use funds to start a business, become more independent and see her children thrive.
- Step 1 – A client wants to start her own business, but has no funds. She applies for a loan.
- Step 2 – Before receiving the loan, the client receives training in basic business skills.
- Step 3 - The microloan is given, providing start-up money for a small business or farming venture.
- Step 4 – The business begins and/or expands.
- Step 5 – The client continues to receive business coaching and training in agricultural and trading practices.
- Step 6 – The business thrives, creating jobs and generating goods and services for the community.
- Step 7 – Families become independent.
- Step 8 – Children thrive as parents can provide more nutritious food and school fees.
- Step 9 – The loan is repaid, and the money is recycled for other entrepreneurs.
